What are the costs to join and to use MRRE?

MRRE is an internet based program and as such, there are is no software to purchase and no licensing fees to pay for. All that is required by a user (Lawyer) is a computer, a scanner or facsimile machine and connection to the internet. The cost of using MRRE is $10 plus applicable taxes for each file - this cost includes the Interim/Funding Report and the Final Report - and this cost may in fact be charged as a disbursement to the client, should the Lawyer so decide. There are no costs to the Lender.

What Training is required to use MRRE?

MRRE has been developed to ensure that its users require almost no training. Once a user (Lawyer) has joined MRRE, then on-line training is available at no extra cost and if required, on-site training can also be arranged at no extra cost, but subject to the availability of our support staff.

What system requirements are there to use MRRE?

While MRRE does not require any specific computer platform (Windows XP, Mac OS X), a modern Internet Browser such as Firefox 1.5 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher is suggested. MRRE uses many features to ensure productivity and functionality that require your browser to allow cookies, and have Javascript enabled. You are encouraged to make sure your system and browser are up to date with the latest security patches from your operating system provider.


Optionally, MRRE may require the use of a scanner, available at your local computer hardware store; and the Adobe Acrobat Reader application, available free from Adobe.

Will there be upgrades to MRRE, the Lender Reports on MRRE and the MRRE system? Will there be any costs or fees for upgrades and changes?

MRRE will be upgraded to include any and all changes to Lender Reports and to constantly provide improvements that will benefit MRRE users. There will be no charges or fees for these changes and upgrades.

Is the documentation and information in MRRE secure and confidential?

The MRRE web application, and all information stored within, is secured using the latest SSL security technology, certified by Entrust Inc. a global security authority. Email sent from MRRE is not encrypted and is therefore not considered to be secure. Because of this, no personally identifiable information is transfered through email, such as credit card or Social Insurance numbers.

How are documents sent and saved?

Documents are sent by secure transmission by internet and a copy of these documents is also sent to the Lawyer and to the Lender. The copy of the documents can either be saved by the Lawyer or the Lender electronically or you can print them out for your file.

Who can join MRRE?

MRRE is an open program and all Lawyers, Lenders and Title Insurance Companies, subject to application and approval by MRRE, can join MRRE.

What type of reports are available on MRRE?

MRRE allows Lawyers to send and Lenders to receive Interim Reports, Funding Reports and Final Reports, along with all documents that are required to be attached to those Reports.

Will I have to change my operations or way of preparing my documents?

MRRE does not require you to make any operational changes or to change the way in which you prepare documents. MRRE is intended to provide you with a more efficient and productive way in which to send and receive Reports in a mortgage, purchase/mortgage or refinancing client file.

How long does it take to use/do a report - how quickly can you send a report?

MRRE allows you to import information from select Title Insurers and by doing so, you can in fact prepare and complete your Reports to Lenders within seconds and then send your Reports instantaneously. You will then receive a copy of your Report that you can save electronically or pint out for your file. If you are working with a Title Insurer that is not part of MRRE or if you are working on a file that does not have Title Insurance, then you are able to manually import the information into MRRE and this will take less then 10 minutes to complete your Reports and send them to the Lender.

What type of support is available from MRRE for users?

MRRE has 'Help' Sections in the MRRE Program and MRRE also has direct e-mail access by a user to a full time Support Staff to deal with any of your questions.

Lender Questions

How can a Lender receive Reports using MRRE?

MRRE gives a Lender the option of receiving Reports by e-mail, the Lender Dashboard and by facsimile.
